Our new house.

Postby John Rauch » Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:01 am

These are pretty much the worst pictures ever, but my digi-cam batteries are dead, like usual and I thought I'd try my phone's lame panoramic feature. Anyway, here is our new place, minus the basement and some bedrooms. Our kids had friends over last night and they're still a disaster.

Grats again on the house, John, it's nice. Question though: do you have to pay extra for all that soft light? ;)

Where do the stairs going up the hill from the gazebo lead? Perhaps to the 2500 sq. ft. guest house?

Fake Edit: YOU HAVE A GAZEBO.

lol. At the top of the stairs/hill is a small patch of level yard area and a small shed for the mower and such. Nothing fancy up there.

Fake edit: What the hell do people DO with a gazebo? I mean, it looks kind of cool, but I can't think of an actual use for it.

Psh! Have you no romantic bone in your body? That's where you take your lady for special moments in the soft moonlight, two crystal flutes of champagne clinking dreamily while you stare into each other's dewy eyes...

...or, y'know, a castle/turret/pirate ship for your kids.

Looks great. Especially in the phone-light.

As someone whose parents had a gazebo while I grew up, you can do any of 3 things:

1) Laze around out of the sun

2) have a family picnic

3) have a high school marching band play 'when the saints come marching in" in it.

We mostly did #1 and #2.

That deck will be great for setting up an easel and doing some painting. Especially in the autumn when all your trees are turning.
