Sketch drop

Forum for sketches, etc. Assume nudity will pop up in the sketch forum without needing an NSFW tag, but porn=boot.

I did save a higher res(300dpi) version.

I meant that for all of your work. :) Particularly the space girl one. That's awesome.

Really nice energy in these sketches man...keep up the good work. And post sequentials when you can.

Thanks.

I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post them here or in the Public form.
There's plenty on my deviant and blogspot site, though, if you wanted to check there.

Excellent work...you capture the energy from your sketches in your sequentials really well...love that shot of the girl on the balcony on the first sequentials on your blog. Nice work man.

Thanks, man.
I can never tell if there's any energy there or not. Guess a fresh pair of eyes is needed.

Double posting.
Something I did for fun recently.
Character is from The Amory Wars of Image Comics/Evil Ink fame.

Nice! I wish the building didn't line up with the inside of his thigh, or the window with his chin. It would be more dynamic.

Thankfully Photoshop solves.

So, I did manage to color it...uh...well as much as can be expected on a mouse, a shitty computer and a buggy system.
But, lame excuses aside...Complete with lettering.

These are sequentials I did for NYCC 2009.
I did some minor tweaks to the pages before the con, but mostly these are a good representation of how they look now. Mistakes and all.

The sequentials look pretty good. What kind of response did you get?

Nothing, really.

Not a lot of portfolio reviews going on at this convention.
Mostly the "drop off your sample packet" thing. Which, from what I'm told by editors, is pretty much a waste of time.

I did talk to Joel Gomez, who said he liked a couple panels, but overall thought they were pretty weak.

Here's some sample pages I did for Zenescope of an as-yet unpublished Grimm Fairytales issue.

Thanks.
Those lead to me getting a 6 page backup story in their Grimm Fairytales vol 5 trade that just came out.
Here's a couple of the pages:
