I build fractals with a progtram called Oxidizer. The interface is crap, and the fractals it creates are a bit messy, but tweaking in PS fixes them up some.

My schedule is retarded.

In the last month:

Secret Invasion: X-Men- Inks and paints from July 12-July 21.

Family Dynamic #1: July 21-Aug 4

Ultimate Iron Man #5: July 21- Aug 30. (Nathan helped out with a few pages thankfully)

Final Crisis Rogues Revenge #2: (30 pages) July 31-Aug 11

I also managed to squeeze in a trip to Vegas and LA, a day trip to Whistler, and painted this GL cover in a day.

I also colored an Ultimate Fantastic Four cover, a couple of splash pages for a project for Top Cow, and a seven page Steve Rolston thing for House of Mystery.

Nathan and I also colored The Core for Top Cow in there somewhere. (I helped Nathan out with a few pages more like.)

Plus I colored a set of 13 Superman figures for DC licensing.

Wow thats hectic!! I wonder if I could pull off that kind of schedule... probably not cos I have a dayjob. :knob:

I was curious as to how to apply them in Pshop after making them... (I also have a program that makes crummy looking fractals... cant remember the name right now)

If you need me I'll be at the Apple store, painted black with a big white apple on my chest, whooping and cheering 'cause Macs rock and PCs are dumb.

That schedule is nuts. Nice job on SI: X-Men by the way, those pages were sweet!

I'm totally going to work on getting that fractal stuff into my work at some point, looks so freakin' awesome. Thanks for the link.

Yeah! That was my favorite comic of the week and likely the month. I know you said those pages take longer, but damn, it is worth it! :rawk:

Glad you liked it! I HATED it. I think it's some of my lamest work, and most critics seem to agree. I'm 1/2 done issue 2 right now, and am significantly happier with it, having tweaked the style some to look better. I hope Marvel will allow me to replace most of #1 with tweaked pages for the trade. :(

Just curious what critics you're referring to in your comment. I used to read the fourthrail, but not since one of the guys left. Sometimes I read X-Axis, but a lot of reviewers who talk about coloring (or the art in general) don't seem to know what they're talking about, at least in my experience. Of course, if you say it's not good, I definitely respect that. I mean, you would know if what you're doing could be better.

I did a Google search for the issue, and read all the reviews. Some were favorable, many were not. *shrugs*

Anyway, long story short, #2 looks way better so far.

Not that you have to say, but can you elaborate why you think so? The only thing I could think critics can bitch about is it looking a little soft, since it has a painterly look, but I really just loved it. What kinda tweaks are you making (again if I can ask)?

Dude, quit being so hard on yourself -- you did a great job on that X-Men book! I did a search and only found one semi-unfavorable review of your work, and the criticism didn't make any sense. Most of the reviews I read seem to have been written with the assumption that Nord did all the art himself, and one even went so far as to praise the non-existent inking. I think you're just looking for negatives in the reviews and latching onto them because you're personally unhappy with the book. Everyone else seems to have liked it just fine. To sum up, then: cheer up, fucker!

Alright, alright. :)

Mostly I'm just pissed at myself for not listening to my gut and painting the book in a pulp novel cover style, since that's not really "Marvel."

For #2 , I just said "fuck it" and went for it.
