BIG DOG!! :) I finally found you!

Great to see you, and still pursuing the arts.

I know you and me were doing a collaboration, and sadly I couldn't deliver. :(

The reason was, that my computer simply can't take the punishment of working with such a high-rez picture...

I've done some progress troughout the year or so that I've been working on it though. I figure I'll give you a look at it, so you can tell me about my most recent take on it. I recently decided this would be the first colouring where I would use only one rendering-layer, combining shades and highlights on it, therefore the shades look a lot darker than it usually does.

Looking good predabot! One thing jumps out at me though...you've rendered everything but the face! Looks very flat next to everything else you have going on...

Also, you may want to leave the words as one color and not rendered, kinda muddies them up. Solids would pop off the art you've rendered. But choose colors that woudl blend and not distract too heavily...make sense?

In any event it's great to see your stuff again! :)

We have a brand new sketchbook to give out again this year! In addition to my usual partner in crime Mark Godby, we've added Terence "Teeminus" Hoskins! Give me a heads up before the show and I'll put one on reserve for you...and like last year...they're FREE!

This year's book features 24 pages in b&w with a cardstock cover. We're leaving them at the Dollar Bin booth for pick up this year. While you're there stop and talk to Brian, Adam and the guys!

Contributing artists:
Brandon/Big Dog (me) - http://bigdogsstudio.deviantart.com/
Mark G - http://markg72.deviantart.com/
TeeMinus - http://teeminus.deviantart.com/

Here's an example of the kind of sketches that I'm doing on the back of the sketchbook...this request was for a Solomon Grundy.

There's still time if you want one of your own! ;) [end shamless self promotion]

Thanks to requests on other boards, I've decided to start selling these!

We set a price of $5 USD to ship a custom sketched copy anywhere in the US & CAN. Shipping is included in that price. Paypal is preferred. (PM me for info)

Here's an example...my newest sketch was a request for Medusa of the Inhumans. (an example of Solomon Grundy is a few posts before)

As much as I hate to do it, I have to step back from the internet. In part, not in whole. So I'll be disappearing from many of the forums, message boards and threads that showcase my art in an attempt to get more free time to draw and do things around the house. You can still find me on twitter (BigDogsStudio), the occasional facebook post and a few select sites...just not as often.

This isn't really a goodbye thread because I'll peak in when I have time (especially weekends), just not as often. And besides, I'm not that guy.

If you need anything between now and then (especially commissions or trades) drop me an e-mail over at google: BigDogsStudio

Here's one for the road: The Man Called Jayne...

That's weird! :)

Well, to break that streak here's anothere one...

The client gave me liberty to draw any Superman-related character for him and since I've already drawn Lex Luthor and Superman for him on two different occasions I went with my favorite DC viallain...DARKSEID!
