Hey, Robert.

It's pretty neat to see McNiven's work colored in this cel-shading style. I'm surprised at how well it works. I really like the job you've done here. Only suggestion I'd give is to do a color hold on the 'Torch, as well as a few screen glows here and there (not excessively, just around the spotted black of the chunky debris that's in close proximity to his head in the final panel, et al). Great job, though!
Hm?

Did we really need THAT particular "camera angle" in the first panel?

Very nice. Like Joel says, I think the Torch would benefit from some more intense light to contrast with the non-fire elements of the page
Feh!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Here is a new version with a color hold on Torch and a some glows added.... I agree, I think it looks better now.

:)

One thing that's messing with my head - cel style is using hard lines and only a few colors, right? Emulating the effects of animation?

I'm working on another one as we speak. Should have it posted in a day or two (or three).

hey there! i darkend the page a bit as i still felt it was a little washed out. also also some darker shadow to ben. he still felt a little flat to me while fighting a human light sourse. added some more glow to johnny, and finally, because these look like they're letter boxed, i added the black to the gutters. i felt the white was too distracting.

hope you don't mind! i think you're really good. i just think you can push these more!

Hey Scott, thanks for the feedback! Good point about adding a darker shadow to Thing... it works better and makes more sense with Torch's lighting.

And as always, darkening my pages usually is a good idea... I really need to get a new monitor!

The letterbox effect looks pretty cool too!

Thanks again :)
