The rendering on the face is cool. You definitely captured the Eastwood squint. The only part that's reading weird is the cigarette shadow. It kind of looks like a scar.

This is my personal opinion, but I think the graphic nature of the of the background and poncho and the naturalistic rendering of the face are clashing stylistically. I might simplify the palette to something like yellow/purple or orange/blue and have a bit of simple rendering to better establish a horizon and sky.

I have had people who like the graphic treatment and others that don't

I now feel I let my graphic intention mess up the story I need to tell with the character. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for your input.
