Agreed! I'd like to see a little bit of variety between cut/grad and other rendering -- i.e., those clouds in the last page you posted could've been airbrushed and not looked so solid and shiny (and so similar to all the other surfaces on the page) -- but, overall, great stuff. Great color choices.

Thanks Dave and Laura.

Laura, I agree, I could have made the clouds much more soft and fluffy looking. I've really been working on differentiating materials and surfaces using only cuts, but sometimes I get carried away using too many cuts and not enough air brush. Next time I get some smoke or clouds I'll try something different.

Wow! I like the way you can adjust the style of color to the story.
But "World's Finest 4" is specially GOOD. :D

I remember him posting those colors up over on his Deviant Art and saying who the colorist was... But I'm horrible at remembering names and I'd had no idea that one of the Zombies had colored this!

I was incredibly impressed with this when it was posted. You did a really good job. I especially loved the way you handled the water streams on her arms, the light on the skin ... I have the hardest time with getting skin to look that well shaded and alive.

My only complaints were that the hair seemed shiny in a way that really stood out - The highest of your highlights seems too bright or the cuts are too wide or something, for me. I keep ending up staring at the top of her head. Aside from that, I would have loved to have seen you push the water effects a bit further. Little glistening droplets, something on her glasses... things like that. Aside from the water streams and steam, she could be standing just about anywhere else.

I lettered this book over the pencils, which are great, but it was a real eye-opener when I got to swap out the pencils for colours. It's a fine looking book -- one of those projects where I'm genuinely delighted to have my name on the credits. Fantastic work, Milen.

Cheers!
