Seeking Help with Color Theory Study

Postby monster » Fri Jul 06, 2012 10:12 am

Hi Gutterzombies out there!

I really admire the great colorists here who really stand out just by using their own color pallets.
But before you come out of your own taste and style, you really have to go down with the basics, right?
As an aspiring colorist, I have a long way to go, and I know that studying the basics of Color Theory
would help me improve and grow as a Comic book colorist. Reading crits from the pros in the public
gallery really helped me a lot, but everything is just a fragment of what is really needed to be learned.
As a result, I'm picking up every pieces of knowledge that I've gain over the years and was hoping to seek help from you on where to start learning and practicing.

So, Is anyone here would like to share or teach about Basic Color Theory with newbies like me?
Links, PDF files, tutorial videos, books you can suggest, anything..I hope that this thread would help not only me, but also
anybody who like to discuss or share some do's and don'ts of Comic Book coloring. Hopefully, this thread will become a helpful tool for everybody. Happy sharing and learning! :D

Hey, everyone! just wanted to share this gem I've found recently on idrawdigital.com.
It really tackles about the basics of color theory and I've never seen anything like it.
This is basically what I'm looking for when I've posted this thread.
Hope you'll learn from it too. :)
