Recently used brushes palette in PS

Postby Jeremy Colwell » Sun Aug 28, 2011 2:04 pm

Does anyone know of a dockable palette in PS CS5 that will keep a selectable list of your most recently used brushes with all their settings? Sometimes I adjust the settings on a brush, use it, move on to a different section of my painting, then want to re-use that brush, but don't want to fiddle with the settings again. I know the logical way is to save it as a new Preset, but sometimes I forget and also it would be quicker if PS could do it automatically for me. :( I've searched google, but it seems like too complex an issue to search for and the results are nothing useful for this. Thanks in advance!

I don't think so, and I doubt it will be something you'll see in the near future if at all. Too many people out there using a lot different brushes and brush settings to expect PS to try to keep up with them. And how would it determine what to consider for the list? If I change sizes on my brush it's technically a different brush setting. Same with fill and opacity. I think you're just going to have to get better about reminding yourself to save your new brushes. :?
