Do any of you or have any of you calibrated your monitor(s). If so what did you use?

Buying a spyder3 TODAY! Got slapped with ol the pages your turning in are VERY different than the samples we hired you based on.
Couldn't for the life of me figure out what the heck they were seeing, and then I realized...new computer...never calibrated the monitor properly.
Checked out the pages on a couple other computers and they were too bright washed out pieces of crap that looked like unfinished flats.
So if my lack of common sense can be an example for someone else not to do please CALIBRATE YOUR MONITOR PROPERLY.
