The End of an Era...

I put back up my avatar last weekend, and realized "Geez, my beard really isn't that short anymore, so I updated it. There's no photo, just the new avatar. I'm going for the Full Dumbledore, so I figure another six years ought to do it.

at least the beard will make it a whole lot easier to spot you in the zombie horde of 100,000+ that is Comic-Con San Diego. I am envious of your beardy prowess. When I grow my whiskers out it looks like mange.
Oh, goodness. Look at my wrist. I gotta go.

I was thinking he looks more like Santa's shady younger brother, who rides, like, a flying bear.

Thanks for the facial-foliage support, guys.

I've been cultivating it for the past year, now. Once you get past the "itchy" stage, it's pretty smooth sailing.

I really WANT to wear the full Viking gear one day as a hall costume, but the Con's during the last week of July, and we're talking metal, leather, and fur. I'd have to have one of those five gallon jugs of water in order to survive that.

Dave, you didn't see the flying bear. Repeat: you did NOT see the flying bear...

Just a quick update. We're now at the 19-month mark. I'm doing the twin braid deal because it tangles up too damn easy. Anyhow, enjoy.

Love the Alan Moore pose.

Well this is as good a time as any to repost this.

This image illustrates many important things about my facial hair.

•It takes 7 days for my mustache to reach most people's 5 o'clock shadow length.
•I am willing to pluck out half of my facial hair and walk around with a bisected half-beard for science/internet laff.
•the hitler part of my face grows no hair. I am reverse hitler, or the Anti-anti-christ if you're into that sort of thing.
•I'm sure many more.

*Sigh*

I am envious of you, Sir Geek, and your mighty chin-fuzz of epicness. Any time I try to grow a beard I get this weak, ginger fuzz all over my face -- I let it grow too long, I look like a hobo. Of the damned.
