The rest of us don't. But you do. 8)

Nah... the main board also has "Mark Forums Read", and it will mark every thread in every forum for you.

I usually Command Click all the individual forums with new threads, then Command-Click the threads I want to read... this way all the forums and threads open in new tabs in Safari. When I'm done reading the ones I want, I just go back to the main index page and hit "Mark forums read" so it clears all the unread threads.

Can I request a change? I really hate the new way unread topics are handled now. It used to be whenever you logged on, it would show new topics since your last logon in a different color, and the forums with new topics in a different color as well. If you logged off and returned a bit later, the process would start again from that previous logon, even for topics you hadn't read. Now, unless you click every single thread in every single forum, the topics and thus the forums stay the unread color no matter how many times you log on or off. I used to be able to log on quickly, see if there were new posts since my last logon, and logoff several times a day and graphically see if anything had changed. Now, unless I read every single post every single time, I can't as the color stays. Honestly, this new way makes it so I have to do a lot more hunting and remembering.

Seems to me, clicking "Mark Forums Read" on the main forum page [not to be confused with the individual forums' "Mark Topics Read"] is considerably easier than logging out and logging back in [by this I mean typing your user name and password] each time you visit the forums.

Hey Dave or Dean, isn't there any way that you can make it so we can see the entire picture if it is larger than the screen width?

I like the new style of marking threads as unread if you actually haven't read them, not just if you haven't read them this session. So that's probably going to stay, sorry.

I think we're going to limit the size of images so that it won't even let you post an image that's too big. So all those stupidly big images that screwed up the formatting on the old version, and get cut off in this one, and can't be viewed on smaller laptop screens. Will have to be linked to as an oversized image. Finally.

I right click/ctrl+click and select view image in Firefox, a little tedious, but better than having to scroll back and forth to read anyone's comments because of the huge image throwing formatting all out of whack.

I like what Dean proposes, especially since most modern browsers can handle an over sized image when displayed on its own and zoom out to fit the screen.

There's also a way to force an image to be resized to fit inside an area. Then the person clicks it to see it full size. And I don't mean an IE option.

I am not a fan of forcing anything to resize. I am amused by the websites where they take a digital cam picture, then constrain it to something like 300x200 and it is all distorted because it is really 1280x960... I prefer as lightweight code as possible. With people as photoshop friendly as they are on this site, you could imagine people automatically resizing images to say, 640px across before posting them on the forum. Resize, save for web cmd-z/crtl-z easy peasy.

It's all planned out now, Dean just needs to laboriously go through and update things.

Aw man, I didn't mean to do that, I was just going to update to RC3 and fiddle with the theme later, but it looks like the update had other plans.
