Not really. The mac version is a ridiculous resource hog. Once you go live it wants to use 100% CPU which makes it difficult at the least to run anything else without having it crash. I was able to get it to just use 80% after awhile but still.. not fun for coloring.

I saw you had Bridge on, which runs slowly on my Mac and I just deleted the program. Now Photoshop is much faster while other apps are on. Bridge could be partly causing the problem with Livestream.

Bridge isn't making Procaster use 80%+ CPU. It just doesn't help when one app wants to hog all the resources. :(

Going to give it another go now to see how it goes. http://www.livestream.com/reber

I'm about to give it another go. I think I have it somewhat stable now. Still hogging my cpu though.

What did you do to get it stabilized?

Turned everything off! Well, I turned off the webcam completely. Just having it on and not using it makes the program work harder. On video I changed the bitrate down to 200kbps and set the keyframe intervals to 30. Runs between 85% to 98% now instead of over 100. I can atleast run itunes and open things without it crashing. Oh and I also installed an older version .24 instead .33 that is out now. Seems to be more stable.

Nevamind. I can't even get the dumb software to work. Keeps running out of memory.

Hopefully they'll release a new version soon that works.

Turning off my webcam completely is what brought it down to about 80% for me. It rarely goes over a 100% now. I can stream and listen to iTunes. I don't run anything else but I can pop open apps for a short time without it crashing. I have Photoshop using all the ram it can handle too.
