Unconfirmed officially, but I got a phone call from WWC, apparently word is going around that Michael Turner passed away. Everybody is in tears.

Wow, he was so young. His work on Witchblade was a great inspiration for me, and one of the reasons why I got into comics. This is heart breaking news...

Very sad, I always wondered what he could accomplish with the health issues behind him -- but he made a resounding impact in the time he had...certainly will be remembered.
Best,
Jason.

I am so shock! And I'm so sad right now.
He was a very strong person who never gave up his fight against his illness, and kept on doing the thing he loves to do. He will be missed.
May he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael at two Wizard World Cons, and he was a friendly, super-talented guy. This is horrible news to hear of his passing at such a young age.
RIP, Mike.

Sad doesn't begin to describe. I want to write about how much and how many he inspired and how what he meant to me, but I'm at a loss for words.
Rest in peace, Mike. I will miss you.

Mike was a genuinely decent guy who handled stardom well. The few pieces of his art I got to color were a real pleasure.
His family and friends are in my thoughts.
