Just curious on everyones opinion.I think that it's quite disrespectful, unprofessional and uncalled for no matter what your opinion of the person is. :shake:

This guy just wanted a chance to feel important. Rob seemed very calm and gracious for dealing with such a douchebag. I'm not a fan of Rob's work, so I just avoid his table at cons and don't buy his books. No one who works in comics or any entertainment industry owes a single fan anything. We do our jobs and are answerable to the publishers we work for. If you don't like the product, don't buy it.

I'm sure Rob has experienced worse, and he's always managed to have a good attitude about it. Rob does treat his fans well at shows. I met him at Heroes, and he was extremely gracious. He was also in the middle of a con sketch, which, from what I hear from others, is usually how he spends his convention hours. Clearly enough people like his art enough to keep him very busy at cons, and he's always happy to oblige.

This Cowardly Hat Guy was just looking for attention, and he got it. I hope he enjoyed his Viagara moment.

I'm also not a fan of Rob's drawing, though I was a 12-13 year old kid once, and I did buy his comics, along with so many other Image books at the time.

That said these Two dicks pissed even me off. I wouldn't wish that sort of treatment on any professional at a convention. Rauch, hit it on the head, no creator is beholden to any fan. (I'd argue that a creator isn't beholden to a publisher either, but that's because I've got a strong sense of, "be true to yourself".)

These Two guys come off as nothing but self-important, entitled, douches.

You have to read a ways down the page but Rob Liefeld was forwarded this article as well and gives a response of his viewpoint on his twitter. The yellow hat guy registered nothing more than a mild nuisance to him and Marat Mychaels got a new copy of Drawing Comics the Marvel way out of it. I said the same thing about him feeling self important losers when in reality Liefeld didn't even care one way or another.

It makes me sick the way Rob Liefeld is consistently persecuted by "fans"

A random quote from the comments that I liked
“Rob Liefeld has clearly perfected one art, at least, and that’s the art of suffering fools.”

The person is saying Rob has no artistic ability, but looks good while putting up with fools.
