I dunno, whenever I see a thriller, horror movie and the bad dude gets shot once he always comes back to kill again.

A zombie apocalypse defense would be awesome

"Your honor, my client was understandably concerned that this was the first stirrings of a zombie invasion, in which the dead rise from the graves, and driven by an unholy hunger for human flesh, in particular the brain, become virtually unstoppable killing machines in pursuit of their grim sustenance."

*puts thumbs in suspenders*

"So you see, ladies & gentlemen of the jury, when the defendant unloaded his second gun into the unconscious lad on the ground, he was merely preserving the safety of the innocent bystanders, including a pregnant mother, against a potential undead menace. Did I mention a pregnant woman? I'm talkin' zombies eatin' unborn children here, people, come ON!" *pounds on jury bench*

Unfortunately there are nutjobs all over the place. This guy is actually expected to use his religious beliefs as a defense.

Dammit. The terrorist murderer succeeded in his goals.

Slain Kansas abortion doctor's clinic to close permanently

I had really hoped that they would stay open. There are now only two clinics in the US that do late-term abortions. No matter what people think about how icky and invasive late-term abortions are, they are always medically necessary, so let's drop that argument already. Now the entire United States has TWO clinics to serve the thousands of women with critical pregnancies. Would it just take two more terrorist acts to shut those down, too?

Argh. Seriously, this whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.

wonder if it actually had anything to do with the guy's antiabortion stance or what?

Is it still possible to edit your first post to change the title?

FINALLY.

The Pro-choice movement has its own crazy moron. It's about time.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/09/11/mic ... index.html
Authorities have charged an Owosso, Michigan, man with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder in the Friday shooting deaths of an anti-abortion activist and another man, a prosecutor's office said.

Authorities say the suspect, Harlan James Drake, was offended by anti-abortion material that the activist had displayed across from the school all week.

They don't show the material that offended him. :/

And killing the pro-lifer could've been an excuse to try and "throw off" the investigation of the other murder. People watch CSI and hatch stupid plans.

I heard on Rachel Maddow a few weeks ago that, in response to the killing of Dr. Tiller, there's been more interest within the medical community to train for late-term abortions. I wish I could find the clip, but basically, several abortion doctors have come out of retirement, and a number of younger doctors and quite a few medical students are switching their studies to obstetrics with the specific interest in providing better care for these unusual late-term cases.

A very interesting response from the medical community.
