Racism in comic coloring?!?

I haven't posted here in a long time, and you guys are awesome, y'all taught me how to flat (Sweeny!)and some of you colorists were even kind enough to hire me to do your flats. I came across this article, and was wanting your feedback, do you think this example is valid? Or was the guy just not following the prescribed color palletes? That and skin tone is tricky as all get-out. Anyway, I wanted to see what y'all thought about it too.
