Made a new
blog post with scans. It has some NSFW stuff, hence the change of title to this post too. Below are a small sampling of the post - some of my faves in case you don't wanna click through.
First are some cards I did up as samples for a local gay bookstore to see if the owner wants to take on some of my larger work for consignment. They are inkwashes and watercolors on those small watercolor artist trading cards you can get for a $1. Thinking of selling them as bookmarks or getting some magnets to make them refrigerator clutter. haha

Next is just an inkwash study of male figure. I just like how it came out.

Next is a pin-up girl from a 1972 Playboy I found at a garage sale. I wanted to make a cartoon-y, yet sexy girl, and she had both. Playing with Copic markers for first time.

This next one is one of the favorite things I've ever done just because it came into my head, and I got as close as possible to what I was thinking on the page. It's Hal and Sinestro ala Bugs and Daffy/Elmer/whomever. Again Copics, and I can't remember but I think GL's powers were down with Prismacolors.

This is my next favorite thing. I found House of Mystery #289 at another garage sale (tis the season I suppose), and I fell in love with the cover. Literally, I was just drawn to it in every way -- story, composition, color theory, etc. There's no indication inside, but I googled it and all signs point to it being done by the master Joe Kubert. I redid it on 9 x 12 140lb watercolor paper with India ink and watercolors. Now, I am not very good at getting everything detail for detail, so there are slight changes in character placement and expression, but the change in color was my decision. I like it, but am thinking of trying to sell it (not sure what the legality of that is though).
