Greater Vancouver zoo not so great.
I am not a big zoo fan in general, but the GVZ seems full of extra sad animals. :(
This cow is from India, which I failed to recognize due to the fact that it looked well fed and sad, unlike the cows that I saw during my trip through India which were starving and seemed very content to just lie about in the road in the middle of traffic. Maybe the zoo needs to put a little section of road thru his pen, and he'd be happy.

Hi Dave. Popped over here via a link from Stuart Immonen's site. I'm in Vancouver too, and I've always wanted to go to the zoo, but I suspected it might be as depressing as you described. Where is it anyway?
I always liked going to the zoo in Toronto though; the animals there always seemed in a happy mood.
